Chinese and Math

Chinese:
Our goal is to finish Unite 5 at the end of December


Math
we are almost done with multiplication and division. Please make sure your child is continue practicing it at home. Especially reviewing subtraction borrowing and memorizing multiplication facts.


Our goal in January is starting Fraction.

Math:
we did review regrouping and borrowing for adding and subtraction. Had a quiz for subtraction today.
We are working towards to multiplication according to the new math text book.


Chinese:
We switch to new text book this year. right now we are reviewing content they learned before. We will soon learn new lessons. WE just got the accounts information and other stuff, so please be patient with us.


For homework,
Math can be:
xtramath or other math website 3 times or 45 minutes a week. 
Chinese: Chinese websites   3 times or 45ms a week.


There is paper for you to sign every week.

Chinese summer camp


Registration is now open for the 2017 DLI Chinese Summer Camp. This summer camp, run in cooperation with Youth Education at the University of Utah, is intended for children in Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Chinese classrooms ranging from grades 2-9. The camp will be daily from July 31 to August 4, with the camp running from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

This year, we have expanded the summer camp to 5 locations across Utah. There will be summer camps at the University of Utah's Main Campus, the U of U Sandy Campus, North Davis Junior High in Clearfield, Foothill Elementary in Brigham City, and Cascade Elementary in Orem.
